A Young Founder on a Mission to Fix India’s Short-Stay Problem

Most startups begin with presentations and pitch decks. EasExplore Pods began with observing real travellers — tired, waiting at odd hours, and still not having a proper place to rest for a few hours.

Rishu Raj, the founder of EasExplore Pods, started working in hospitality at a young age and saw the same pattern again and again: people paying full room charges, even when they only needed short stays.

Instead of accepting that as “normal”, he decided to build an alternative. He learned full-stack development, started designing systems for bookings and operations, and began shaping the idea of a pod-based short-stay network.

His journey is supported by entrepreneurship programs and exposure: ASPIRE and SPARK at AIC GGSIPU, and Entrepreneurship training at E&ICT Academy, IIT Kanpur.
